Getting your calibration process right from the beginning is sometimes a scary process but essential to ensure it can be easily maintained. The key is maybe not always obvious but it is “Keep it Simple”, remember the more complex you make it the more difficult it is to maintain and the scarier it is to be audited.

The more steps in your process means more areas that could cause you problems when Murphy’s Law raises it’s ugly head during an Audit. Only do what is mandatory to our procedures and steer clear of changing unless it makes it easier.

Key points to keep in mind;

  • Keep it simple
  • Map out your process so you can clearly see
  • Ensure that it is easy to follow
  • Keep an eye on it and don’t let complacency force unknown changes
  • The less time you have to manage your process the more time you have to work on improvements
